The CSF Statewide Organization will be launching a chapter fundraising contest on 4/1 to raise funds for a new scholarship in the name of a 2014 Hall of Fame inductee (an honorary CSF alumni). The goal for each chapter is to raise $1,000 during the month of April, and any chapter that achieves this goal will be rewarded with a pizza party and acknowledgment on the official website. For this project, we are looking for 2 reliable CSF members to lead our chapter effort as Lead Fundraisers (LFs). The CSF fundraising team will work with LFs to educate them on how to approach local businesses for donations or matching funds and to help them create a strategy. This is a great opportunity for interested sophomores and juniors to become more involved with CSF at the state level and to gain leadership experience. If you are interested in applying for a CSF Statewide internship or an officer position next year, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you apply for this position. The deadline is next Tuesday (3/4) at 11:59 PM. The application can be found here. Best of Luck, Anna and Annie Hey CSF!
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a chance to do something meaningful, hangout with friends, eat free food, and play games? Well, THERE IS! Making cards and crafts together for hospitalized kids. 2. Watch a movie at the same time. 3. Eat pizza and other scrumptious food. 4. Playing group games. This social is FREE and you will receive 15 POINTS! Please sign up in the Events page If you do not sign up by Friday 2/14, you will not get food so make sure you sign up on time! Hey everyone,
As I mentioned during Friday's meeting, there are two upcoming scholarships that SENIORS can apply for: Glenn Michelson Award ($1000): To apply, you must write an essay (1000 words max) addressing the prompt, "In what specific ways has your involvement in CSF enhanced your appreciation of the intrinsic values of scholarship and service?” The application deadline is December 22. Seymour Award (up to $15,000): Our chapter is allowed to nominate 2 seniors for the Seymour Award. If you are a senior interested in applying for this scholarship, please email [email protected] with the subject "Seymour Award Nomination" and your name by December 18. Please check the website beforehand to see if you qualify. Thanks, Annie (Co-Pres 13'-14') Hey everyone,
There will be NO MEETING this coming Friday due to the Homecoming Rally. Because of this, we will also be extending the membership application deadline to NEXT FRIDAY (10/18). Please turn in your applications ASAP to any officer or to Mr. Penner in Room 301. If you did not receive an application at the first meeting, you can access them here. Also, the CSF Statewide Organization is working on opening a CSF online store and wants student feedback. Please fill out this very short survey. It will take less than a minute, and we will be awarding 1 point to anyone who submits a survey. Thanks and enjoy the rest of Homecoming week! CSF Officers If you are a freshman, the course list in the membership application DOES NOT apply to you. Just use your middle school courses from last year. Place your academic courses in List I and your elective courses (i.e. language, woodshop) in List II.
Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for coming out to our second meeting! We had a great turnout. We just wanted to emphasize again the importance of donating $15 when you turn in your complete membership packet. The funds we earn from membership donations directly pay for the CSF crewnecks that we would like to order for everyone this year as well as the national CSF registration fees that we must pay to register each member with the organization. We have a great crewneck design ready to go and we have decided that if not everyone contributes their $15, we will not order any crewnecks at all. It's simply unfair for a member who did not pay to receive a crewneck for free. We wish we were able to give out free crewnecks to everyone in the club, but for obvious reasons, we are unable to do so. Please do your part and pay your $15. After all, you'll receive a crewneck (and save us officers a lot of headache!) As an added incentive, we will award you an extra point every time you wear your crewneck to an event. Turn in your membership materials to room 301 or to any officer by October 11th, 2013. Complete registration details and forms can be found on lynbrookcsf.weebly.com under Important Forms > Membership Application Forms and Membership Registration Directions. Follow the Membership Registration Directions carefully and complete all portions of the Membership Application form. We really hope this explains why your donation to the club is essential. Thanks for your understanding! Officers |
